Tonight we have been watching the Olympics live from Beijing and had an interesting little thought experiment. Beijing is 12 hour ahead of New York. That lead us to a weird conversation where by it is possible to be in two different places at the same time but not the same moment.
For example you could be in Beijing at 8:00 AM 8/12/08 and you could also be in New York at 8:00 AM 8/12/08, you can be in both places at the same time. You just cannot be in both places at the same moment…
